Operation Musketeer: British Army & the Suez Crisis | November 1956

Suez Crisis

In November 1956, Britain, France and Israel launched a co-ordinated invasion of Egypt to seize control of the strategic waterway known as the Suez Canal. In this video, I detail the role played by the British Army and Royal Marines in this invasion; codenamed Operation Musketeer.

Additional Information: Thumbnail image used is that of Chick Dempster, who served with the 3 Parachute Regiment during the capture of El Gamil Airfield. He sadly passed away at the age of 89 in November 2017.
